SCHOLARSHIP POLICY

As it is our wish to offer learning opportunities to as many students as possible, MCA proudly offers various types of scholarships to our students:

1. Sibling Scholarship
At the time of a student’s registration at MCA, a 10 percent discount of the annual tuition fee is offered as a sibling scholarship if his/her sibling is currently a registered MCA student. The scholarship is offered annually to the student as long as his/her sibling is registered at MCA. Application fee, registration fee, and other fees for books, activities, transportation and meals are to be paid in full.

2. Merit Scholarship
Merit scholarships are given in recognition of a student’s academic success, leadership commitments, and other talents and achievements. When a student submits an application for the scholarship, the Scholarship Committee comprised of the school principal and directors is called for, and reviews the application based on the student’s achievement during the past year at MCA or other schools. Academic achievement has more weight than others among the selection criteria.
Once selected as the recipient of the scholarship, 50% of the annual tuition fee is offered to the student as a scholarship. The scholarship is valid for one academic year, subject to the Committee’s review for extension. Application fee, registration fee, and other fees for books, activities, transportation and meals are to be paid in full.

3. Principal's Scholarship
MCA opens our door to the students who have abilities and willingness to study, but cannot afford to pay high cost of education. Recipients of need-based scholarships are selected by the Scholarship Committee on various criteria such as family income, academic and other achievement, and the student’s potential. The family-income criterion follows the welfare-related guidelines set by Korean government.
Once selected as the recipient of the scholarship, full annual tuition fee (100%) is waived for the student as a scholarship. The scholarship is valid for one academic year, subject to the Committee’s review for extension. Application fee, registration fee, and other fees for books, activities, transportation and meals are to be paid in full.
